Fine Bindings and Book Restoration

An essential part of book restoration is the restoration of paper, which over time becomes acidic and brittle. I work in collaboration with Esther Wegman, a professional paper conservator and restorer with over 30 years of experience. Cleaning the paper includes washing, removing dirt and mold stains, fats and more. The restoration of the paper is done by strengthening it, stabilizing it, repair of tears and completing missing parts.
